Gemstone globes are very similar to regular globes. They both show the world in great detail and that is where the similarities among these two stop. A regular world globe might be made from synthetic materials like plastic or resin. Some might be made from various metals and woods but the gemstone globe is made from actual gemstones. You might find mother of pearl, onyx, turquoise, coral, amber or brilliant blue lapis.
